How to shop for family clothing in Australia
Australian kids’ sizing runs by age, from 0000 up to 16, but a size 2 at one label can be a full size out from a size 2 at another. Maternity is different again: most labels size to your pre-pregnancy measurements, so sizing up is usually a mistake. Our buying guides cover the sizing question label by label.
Rather than guessing when a sale might come, we record prices ourselves and show you which ones actually fell. Leave your email in the alerts box above and the falls we record land in your inbox, instead of you checking back on the off chance.
Watch out for permanent sales. Several retailers keep a large share of their range marked down year round, so a sale tag on its own means very little. A was-price is the retailer’s own claim about its own pricing, so we always say whose it is, and we never rank a page by discount. A full-price piece from a specialist label is not automatically the worse buy.
